Writer and Marketer Help Infopreneurs Generate Cash
ROANOKE, VA – “Everybody’s doing it!” says Heather Jacobson, successful Internet marketer and virtual business owner. “It’s just a matter of time before you’ll be doing it too.” “That’s right, I’ve done it multiple times and I can’t wait to do it again!” says Laurie Dart, successful author and virtual business owner. What is IT? Writing e-Books, that’s what. Jacobson and Dart have put together an e-Book to help infopreneurs generate passive income. The Everyday Guide to Writing and Marketing Your e-Book Wisely combines their years of experience and education into an easy to use, easy to follow guide to help you write, publish and sell your own e-Book. Mission vs. Vision Statements
A question came up this week regarding mission and vision statements when writing the business plan. We so often get “stuck” on the little things…
One member had this great explaination to offer…
Your vision is what you want for the world.
Your mission is what you will do as a business toward that goal.Example: Bill Gates
Vision: To see a computer in every home in the world.
Mission: To provide software programs that are consistent, easy to use, and are the standard in the industry.
Another said this:
My personal opinion is that you shouldn’t get too stuck on those two things. I think once you get further into your business plan, it might become more clear to you what your mission and vision are……write your business plan “in pencil”! You’ll go back to it often as you grow!
Our resident expert on Business Manuals chimes in with
A vision statement should allow anyone to understand your “ultimate goal” for your business – where you are headed.
An example of a vision statement is:
As pioneers of the new age of Virtual Assistants, it is hoped that someday soon people will be asking “Who is your Virtual Assistant?” as opposed to “What is a Virtual Assistant?” We hope to accomplish this by educating others through seminars and speaking engagements and by providing exemplary administrative services to our clients.
You can see in my book that I actually combine the two - this is because they often get very confused.
What are your thoughts on mission and vision statements and should you get caught up on them, or let them slide and come back to them? We’d love to know!
Until next time…

January’s Revolutionary Business Owner
Introducing Jaime Lee Mann of Mann Made Time…
Here are some of the comments that other Rev members had to say about Jaime…
Jamie is the poster child of success in the VA business.
She got her business up and running the right way.
She filled her practice exceptionally quickly.
She is active in the VA community.
She is helpful, sharing, supportive and caring, and she’s even found the time to write a book!
She posts thought provoking and informative posts at the REV.
She does this all while managing her family.
Jaime’s business has gone from zero to sixty in record time.
Jaime demonstrates the wisdom and business savvy of someone who has been doing this for years.
Everything I’ve seen Jaime do has been amazing, whether it’s her brilliant sales letter, her press release, her three quarterly newsletters, or her creative marketing ideas.
She has been a revolutionary business owner since day one, and she’s an inspiration to so many VAs who have been witness to her success!
Jaime is a force.
She sets her mind to do something and not only does it but she goes way beyond.
She exceeds client, associate and friend expectations.
She goes above and beyond.
Her business grew by leaps and bounds because of her determination.
Her posts are helpful, she is everyone’s cheerleader and she never loses her cool.
Jaime has made a business bloom on the ground work that I believe she has been laying for years, perhaps unintentionally, and has really gathered the reins of her life up to make a big run. She has taken time to share with the rest of the Rev very generously along the way.
She always has a positive outlook on life.
I am proud to know Jaime.
Congrats Jaime!!!
Jaime’s book is called the Art of Follow up and is a great resource for any business owner!
The next Revolutionary Business Owner will be announced on Friday, February 16th during the monthly vision call!
Until next time…

Are You a Multi-Tasker?
We’ve been having this conversation at the Rev lately…about who is and who isn’t, and how we define multi-tasking. Some say that it’s relative to your Zodiac sign while others say it has nothing to do with it. (For the record, apparently Libras are really good at this, so if you’re a Libra, I’d love to hear from you…)
During one of our training seminars, the presenter said that (paraphrasing of course) that multi-tasking is a myth and that you can’t do two things at one time and do them both well….
And now I ask your thoughts….Is multi-tasking a myth?
Until next time…

Time to get rolling….
It’s been almost a year since we’ve posted on this blog….and that’s entirely TOO long.
So we’re going to vamp it up again.
Be on the look out for a peek inside and meet some of our Revolutionary members!
Until next time…
Heather
